Celebrating Dedication: Wilton Animal Rescue Awarded California Nonprofit of the Year

Each year, California Assemblymembers and State Senators are invited to honor a California Nonprofit of the Year for their district. This year, Senator Roger Niello honored Wilton Animal Rescue as his chosen non-profit of the year! There are so many non profits in CA, so to be nominated, and win this award is HUGE! The award reads:

In recognition of their overall excellence, service to community, and positive impact – demonstrating the strength, power; and importance of California’s nonprofit sector.

We are so grateful to see WAR receive this recognition. Carol and Leon’s dedication and hard work make a significant impact on the lives of countless rescue dogs. From sleepless nights to long hours and drives all over Sacramento, Wilton, Galt, Herald, Acampo, Stockton, Ione, Folsom, Modesto Valley, and beyond, Carol and Leon have gone above and beyond to provide love, care, and support to these amazing dogs who become family to our adopters. Their unwavering commitment to dogs in need is truly inspiring. Through their organization’s efforts, they have not only rescued dogs from bad situations, but have also found them loving and forever homes.

This award is a well-deserved recognition of their tireless efforts and the positive change they have brought to the lives of these animals. Let’s join together in celebrating Carol and Leon’s remarkable achievement and thanking them for their dedication to making the world a better place for our furry companions. Congratulations once again, Carol and Leon! Your passion and compassion are truly making a difference. Thank you to all who nominated Wilton Animal Rescue and Carol and Leon for this award/recognition. And thank you again, SENATOR ROGER NIELLO!
